September General Meeting
"Turkey Vultures: Taking a Closer Look at an Underappreciated Bird" by Missouri Master Naturalist Dianne Van Dien. Turkey vultures are often overlooked and disdained by our culture, despite their ecological importance. Dianne explains how turkey vultures are perfectly adapted for a life of scavenging and play a crucial role in reducing the spread of diseases. She’ll also highlight their nesting, roosting, foraging, and migration behaviors through the lens of her own study and observations of turkey vultures in Missouri. Register in advance for this ZOOM meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
