The Sights and Sounds of Cheyenne Bottoms and the Kansas Wetlands Center

Curtis J. Wolf, manager of Kansas Wetlands Education Center. Cheyenne Bottoms is a must-see destination for anyone interested in birds! This area is the largest interior wetland in the interior of the U.S. and provides some of the most critical shorebird habitat in the entire Western Hemisphere. Curtis will discuss the import role Cheyenne Bottoms plays thru videos, photographs and recordings of some of the unique avian visitors that call it home. He will also introduce us the KWEC, an often overlooked but excellent resource for natural history education.

We will be hosting our speaker for dinner at Bo Lings on the plaza prior to the meeting at 5pm

Hope to see you there!!
