Birds, Beauty, and Brush Creek – The problem of single-use plastics

Join Paige Witek and staff from the Missouri River Bird Observatory (MRBO) at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center in Kansas City, MO as MRBO and Burroughs Audubon take a deep dive into seven simple actions to help birds (Participating in Community Science, Drinking Shade-grown Coffee, Reducing Plastics, Making Windows Bird-friendly, Keeping Cats Indoors, Using Native Plants, Avoiding Pesticides). Find out how to make simple changes to help birds while enhancing your own life! Each event will explore actions that will make a difference in our world and will include going birding and a brief chat about the day’s topic. All events in the series will be held outdoors, so make sure to dress snuggly. Programs are free, but pre-registration is requested so that we can notify you in the event of a weather cancellation. Everyone is invited, and we hope to see you there!
