Field Trip: Little Bean Marsh Conservation Area

Observe the fall World Migratory Bird Day at Little Bean Marsh Conservation Area. Despite the lake, marsh, sloughs, and wetland being dry for many years now, there are still migrants and woodland species to be seen and heard. Group will meet at the main parking lot (39.4972049, -95.0212512) to access the paved walking trail. The trail is not a loop, but an out-and-back horseshoe, with a total walking distance of about a mile. If there is interest, we can add a second walk along the mowed fire line on the high ground section of the area. The fire line (about a 1 mile hike) is an uneven natural surface.
