Spectacled Eiders 2025-2026 Federal Duck Stamp by Adam Grimm
Northern Shoveler Junior Duck Stamp by Catheryn Liang

Purchase a $25 Federal Duck Stamp to contribute to wildlife habitat conservation. Quality wetland habitats benefit endangered plants and animals, provide clean water, assist with flood control, and help abate soil erosion. Through the purchase of Federal Duck Stamps over the past century, more than 6 million acres of wetlands habitat have been conserved.

Federal Duck Stamps are issued each year and are valid from July 1 through June 30 the following year. Hunters age 16 and older are required to carry a physical duck stamp or an E-stamp, which is an authorized electronic version purchased online. For birders, a current Federal Duck Stamp is good for free admission to any national wildlife refuge that charges an entry fee. Of the 573 refuges, most offer unparalleled outdoor recreational opportunities, including hunting, fishing, bird watching, and photography.

Each year, the artwork for the duck stamp is chosen from entries submitted for the annual contest.

To purchase a duck stamp, visit your local post office, sporting goods store, or outdoor recreation store, or order them online through Amplex.

E-Duck Stamps are sold through state agencies or DuckStamp.com.

The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program offers a national art contest from which a winning design is chosen for a $5 Junior Duck Stamp. All of the revenue from the sale of these stamps supports recognition and environmental activities for students participating in the program.
